We're looking for a business partner Director of Human Resources for our West region. This is an excellent opportunity for a human resource professional to make an impact.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

As Director of Human Resources (“HR”), you will be responsible for delivering core HR services, including; strategic business planning and partnering, staffing, employee relations, coaching and organizational development. While certain processes, procedures and tools exist today to accomplish these functions, we are looking for someone who can bring their experience to raise the overall HR capabilities.

  • Overall

  • Partner with the business to identify, develop and drive key initiatives such as leadership development, talent/performance management, change management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee and career development, performance management, rewards and recognition, and coaching (employee and manager)

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders, customers and colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, enhance, align and drive the effectiveness of HR initiatives

  • Recommend, amend and drive improvement to human resources systems, policies and processes by continuing to stay abreast of the marketplace to identify and leverage best practices / trends to influence the business and HR agenda

  • Possesses personal and professional creditability to serve as a coach and advisor to employees and members of management

  • Identifies and helps solve employee performance issues

  • Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests

  • Drive employee engagement programs and initiatives

  • Learning and Development

  • Drive Learning and Development initiatives and programs effectively within the regions: Seattle - SF Bay Area - LA Basin - San Diego

  • Conduct need assessments in different regions and partner with corporate to develop/drive initiatives to close gaps and implement necessary solutions to ensure a high-performing workforce

  • Conduct training and support development of content as needed by the regions

  • Workforce Planning & Staffing

  • Provide candid and constructive feedback to business leaders about talent moves, gaps, promotions and growth opportunities

  • Partner with the business to understand and make recommendations on current and future staffing needs

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to drive fulfillment of needs

  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee compensation and benefits for employees per region

  • Work actively with various third parties to ensure compliance with all elements of benefits, insurance and company HR related requirements

Skills Desired/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of people management / HR experience

  • Master’s degree preferred but not required

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Management or leadership role

  • Prior experience including organizational development, HR administration and business support required

  • Willingness to do the hands-on work

  • Knowledge of professional best practices and industry trends as they apply to all HR related functions and responsibilities required

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the technical areas of Human Resources

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

  • At least intermediate-level computer skills with Microsoft business applications software

  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills for researching, analyzing, developing, and leading in the implementation of Human Resources related programs and recommendations

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel, including a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personnel and corporate dynamics

  • HR Certified preferred

  • Flexibility to travel 25-35% of time
