Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for Wet Utility Foreman to join our utility group.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a wet utility foreman
Read plans and have a working knowledge of standards and specifications
Able to organize, plan and schedule work
Ability to communicate with employees, vendors, inspectors, owners’ representatives
Ability to operate heavy equipment, preferred
Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a 2 – 7 person crew
Sequences pipe installation to reduce inference with other project activities and the public
Request and supervise layout of utilities to be installed
Responsible for crew and worksite safety. Establishes safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program
Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment
Monitor production and cost daily. Analyze job cost reports and make changes to ensure budgets are being met
Reviews and approves employee time reporting and completes all required paperwork in a timely manner
Maintains professional relationship with Owner and co-workers
Coordinates and assists the Project Management Team to ensure all materials are onsite prior to being needed, utility schedule is integrated into the overall project schedule, and MOT needs
Must be willing to perform all related tasks to support projects
Provides on-the-job training and suggests other trainings to help grow crew members skills and abilities
Knowledgeable of material and equipment requirements
